1. 동질감
레제는 불쌍한 인간이다.
소련에서 고아들을 어릴 때부터 훈련시켜 인간 병기로 만들었고,
레제는 폭탄 능력을 가지고 있다.
그런데 덴지도 결국 일본 정부의 개
여기서 동질감을 느꼈을 것이다.
처음 공중전화 부스에서 비를 피하려고 만났을 때
레제의 손은 목 근처에 있다.
여차하면 수류탄 안전핀 뽑듯이 뽑아서 터트릴 생각이었다.
그런데 덴지 특유의 바보같은 순수함.
나와 동일하게 국가에 이용 당하는 존재.
가장 죽이기 좋은 상황에서 망설이게 된다.
2. 체인소맨이 아닌 덴지를 좋아함
덴지는 다들 체인소의 심장을 가지고 싶어한다고 말했지만,
레제는 덴지의 심장 가져간다고 말했었다.
미묘한 차이지만 그 차이는 크다.
꼭 여자가 아니더라도
체인소맨에 등장하는 인물들 중에
덴지를 좋아하는 경우가 없다.
대부분은 덴지의 능력인 체인소맨의 이용 가치를 좋아할 뿐이다.
하지만 레제는 본인의 임무도 잊고 덴지와 데이트할 정도로,
레제는 덴지를 좋아했으며,
진심이었다고 생각된다.
3. 그럼 왜 덴지(체인소맨)과 싸웠나?
둘은 마치 연인처럼 다정다감하게 잘 지냈으나,
학교에서 데이트하는 도중
태풍의 악마와 계약한 인간이 레제를 공격한다.
레제는 백초크로 승리하는데,
하늘에서 비가 내린다.
그 빗물이 레제 눈에 들어가서,
이게 빗물인지 눈물인지
애매한 연출이 나오고,
아마 그 순간 자신의 임무를 다시 한번 생각하게 된 것 같다.
레제는 덴지한테 같이 도망가자고 한다.
일본 공안이 모르는 곳으로 가자고 하고,
바로는 힘들지만 나중에 학교도 같이 가자고 한다.
그런데 여기서 덴지는 망설인다.
공안에서 자신이 인정받기 시작했다며 망설인다.
그런데 덴지는 그냥 단순한 인간이잖아?
덴지는 도시쥐처럼 맛있는거 먹고, 즐겁게 사는거 원하는 인간인데
레제가 함께 도망가자고 했을 때 망설인다??
여기서 레제는 나말고 좋아하는 여자가 있다는 것을 눈치챈다.
덴지와 키스하다가 덴지의 혀를 잘라버리고,
그렇게 둘은 사랑 싸움을 한다. ㅋㅋ
4. 덴지가 같이 도망가자고 했을 때 레제는 왜 거절했을까?
한바탕 싸우고,
레제의 폭탄이 물 속에서는 능력이 많이 약해진다는 것을 알게되어
바다 속에서 함께 익사? 하게 되고,
나중에 해변에서 기절한 빔과
깨어 있는 덴지와
덴지의 셔츠를 입고 눈을 뜨는 레제
이번에는 덴지가 같이 도망가자고 한다.
그런데 레제가 거절한다.
정말 진심으로 덴지를 좋아했다면 왜 거절하냐는 의문이 생긴다.
이것은 덴지와 싸울 때
덴지가 나에겐 마키마가 있다는 이야기를 하는데,
마키마는 지배의 악마다.
이미 지배당하고 있다고 레제는 오해했을 가능성이 높다.
이미 지배의 악마한테 지배 당하고 있는 덴지라면
둘이 도망친다고 해봤자
레제 입장에선 행복한 미래는 당연히 없을 것이다.
5. 레제의 최후
레제는 본인이 일하던 카페에 뛰어 간다.
그동안 일하는 시간에 늦어도 달려간 적이 없었는데 말이다.
카페 창문으로 레제를 기다리는 덴지의 뒷모습이 보인다.
큰 꽃다발을 준비했다.
하지만 레제는 마키마와 천사의 악마한테 죽는다.
< 왜... 처음 만났을 때 죽이지 않았을까. >
< 덴지 군, 사실은 말이야, >
< 나도 학교에 가 본 적이 없어. >
학교에 가 본 적 없다는 유언을 마지막으로 레제는 죽는다.
이것은 굉장히 안타까운 일이다.
덴지는 레제와 도망치려고 돈도 준비하고 짐도 챙겼으며,
덴지 성격에 커다란 꽃다발을 사는 녀석이 아닌데 정말 좋아했던 모양이다.
아키와 파워를 비롯한 공안 내의 동료들과도 친해지고 정 들었고,
데빌 헌터라는 일에도 적응하고 보람을 느끼기 시작했는데
모든걸 다 버리고라도 레제랑 도망치고 싶었던 것 같다.
가장 결정적으로 덴지는 마키마를 좋아하고 있었다.
덴지의 소원이었던 여자 가슴 만지기
파워의 가슴을 만졌지만 허탈했을 뿐이고,
마키마는 상대방을 잘 알 수록,
스킨쉽은 더 기분 좋아진다며 알려준다.
어떻게 보면 덴지의 첫사랑이라고 봐도 될 정도로
마키마는 매력적인데
덴지는 레제와 함께 있을 때도 마키마를 떠올리며 고민했었다.
그런데 덴지가 마키마도 버리고 레제를 선택한 것은
정말 진짜 사랑이라고 인정할 수 밖에 없다.
레제와의 만남은 굉장히 짧은 시간이었지만,
사랑은 진짜다.
그리고 이루어지지 못해서 더욱 여운이 진하게 남는다.

그런데 인터넷하다가 우연히
레제가 살아있다고 그런 것을 봤는데..
만약 진짜라면..
마지막에는 덴지와 레제가 함께 행복하기를 기대해본다.
1. A Sense of Kinship
Reze is a pitiful human being. She was raised in the USSR from a young age, trained to become a human weapon. She possesses the powers of the Bomb Devil.
But Denji is, in the end, also just a "dog" of the Japanese government. She must have felt a sense of kinship here.
When they first met in the phone booth to seek shelter from the rain, Reze's hand was near her neck. She was ready to pull the pin—like a grenade—and blow everything up if necessary.
But then, she saw Denji's unique, idiotic innocence. A being who, just like her, is being used by the state. In the perfect situation to kill him, she hesitated.
2. She Liked Denji, Not Just Chainsaw Man
Denji said that everyone wants the Chainsaw's heart, But Reze said she was coming to take Denji's heart. It’s a subtle difference, but that difference is massive.
Even aside from the female characters, Most people in Chainsaw Man only like Denji for the utility value of his Chainsaw powers.
However, Reze went as far as to forget her mission to go on a date with him. I believe Reze truly liked Denji, and her feelings were sincere.
3. Then Why Did She Fight Denji (Chainsaw Man)?
They got along sweetly, almost like lovers, But during their date at the school, a human contracted with the Typhoon Devil attacked Reze.
Reze won with a rear naked choke, And then rain began to fall from the sky. The rainwater got into Reze's eyes. The direction made it ambiguous—was it rain, or was it tears? I think in that moment, she started rethinking her mission.
Reze asked Denji to run away with her. She suggested going somewhere the Japanese Public Safety wouldn't know, And said that while it might be hard immediately, they could go to school together later.
But here, Denji hesitated. He hesitated because he was finally starting to get recognized by Public Safety.
But isn't Denji just a simple human? He's someone who wants to live like a "City Mouse," eating good food and having fun. So why did he hesitate when Reze asked him to run away? From this, Reze realized that there was another woman he liked (Makima).
While kissing Denji, she bit his tongue off, And thus began their "lovers' quarrel." lol.
4. Why Did Reze Refuse When Denji Asked to Run Away?
After a huge fight, They ended up in the ocean, where Reze's bomb powers were significantly weakened. Did they nearly drown together?
Later on the beach, Beam was passed out, Denji was awake, And Reze woke up wearing Denji's shirt.
This time, Denji asked her to run away with him. But Reze refused. If she truly liked Denji, the question arises: Why did she refuse?
This is likely because, during their fight, Denji mentioned that he had Makima. Makima is the Control Devil. Reze likely misunderstood (or realized) that Denji was already being controlled.
If Denji is already under the Control Devil's grasp, Even if the two of them ran away, From Reze's perspective, there would obviously be no happy future.
5. Reze's End
Reze ran to the café where she worked. She had never run before, even when she was late for her shift.
Through the café window, she saw Denji's back as he waited for her. He had prepared a large bouquet of flowers. But Reze was killed by Makima and the Angel Devil.
"Why... didn't I kill you when we first met?" "Denji-kun, actually..." "I've never been to school either."
With the final words that she had never been to school, Reze died. This is incredibly tragic.
Denji had prepared money and packed his bags to run away with Reze. Given Denji's personality, he isn't the type to buy a huge bouquet, so he must have really liked her. He had become close with his Public Safety colleagues like Aki and Power, And he had started to find purpose and satisfaction in being a Devil Hunter. Yet, he was willing to throw it all away to run with Reze.
Most decisively, Denji liked Makima. Denji's wish was to touch a woman's chest. Touching Power's chest left him feeling empty, But Makima taught him that intimacy feels better the more you know the person.
Makima was charming enough to be considered Denji's first love, And even when he was with Reze, he thought of Makima and struggled with his feelings.
The fact that Denji chose Reze, even over Makima, Forces us to admit that it was true love. Although his time with Reze was very short, The love was real. And because it never came to fruition, the lingering feelings remain even stronger.
P.S. I saw something on the internet by chance claiming that Reze might still be alive...
If that's true... I hope that in the end, Denji and Reze can be happy together.
